Yes, the hook timing is off. You need to either take it to a service repair center, or do the timing yourself. If you're mechanically inclined, go to youtube and look for a video by Nilsandkatrina about how to repair your sewing machine. He gives a very good example.

SOURCE: Singer 5817C bobbin pulls out of casing

This will happen if the bobbin is put in the wrong way around - I believe the thread should be going in a clockwise direction as you face it. (If this is the way you have it, try the other way!)

I am new to this and bought a used Singer CE-200 Sewing/Embroidery Machine. I can't get the needle thread to pick up the bobbin thread. I have even got my mother to try, who has sewed in the past. Can...

Did you try to take out the bobbin and remove the little metal cover plate? Sometimes thread or fuzz gets under the bobbin mechanism, and that will knock it off just enough so it won't pick up the thread.

My futura machine keeps every few seconds and stops sewing, what the problem

this was my first problem - if youhave had a "birdsnest" you probably damaged the bobbin case - take it out and run your finger aroundthe outside edge . You will probabaly find a nick where the needle has crashed down on the bobbin case. If you can sand it smooth it may start pulling the thread around the bobbin again. Twice I have had to replace the bobbin case. It is cheap just google on the internet. Now I have a spare if anything happens. I also found if you stick to the embroidery threads and not try to use up old or cheap thread it will run more smoothly.

Bobbin won't wind on Singer futura CE-100

My singer hasn't wound bobbins for years and I don't care because I use a Side Winder bobbin winder. It's much easier than takining the thread off the machine anyway. Available from Hancock, Jo Ann or even Wal Mart for about $30.

I have a singer Futura CE-250. I am having problems with the tension I think. While embroidering the top thread is showing completely on the underside of the material. In other words the bobbin thread...

One of the things they don't really tell you about embroidering with the singer machines is that you really do need to use the same color in both the bobbin and the top. No matter how much you adjust the tension, you will still end up with some of the thread from both showing through on the other side, unlike with most other machines.

I found this out from a Singer technician about 3 years ago when I had the same problem with my CE 150 and was going nuts! He worked with both Singers, Vikings and Huskvarna's. and saved my sanity after demonstrating a lot of technical stuff that basically showed me why Singers did this.

Save your sanity-just bite the bullet and use the same thread in the bobbin as you do in the top.

Singer futura 250. while sewing the E4 code

Are you using bobbin thread? Is your thead new? Is themachine threaded correctly?

Make sure that when you thread the upper part the thread go under the circle that pull it.

Another thing is that when you hit the start button, pull the upper thread until the machine goes two or three times. It helps the bobbin thread to come up and the machine start sewing.I you leave it along the thread sometimes doesnot comes up and that is why the machine beeps.

I use this technique to make sure it doesnt beep and to cut the thread (the one at the beginning so it doesn't mess my design)

I have a Singer Futura CE-150 and it keeps stopping due to "Thread break error" but the thread and bobbin seem okay what could it be?

Either upper thread is not passing through thread sensor area or sensor is broken.
Second possible reason is that if design is not optimized the sporadic speed change provides thread breakage error even if the thread is not broken physically. Make sure your software is updated to optimize it automatically (Futura main menu->Help->Live Update).

Bobbin case is popping out, and machine is birdnesting

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.

"thread breakage detected"

I had the same problem and one day my 9 year old said Mommy the thread is winding and cathing. I noticed that if the thread is not close to the silver metal arm it coils and makes a knot around the silver feed arm and also sometimes it cathces the little white plastic peace where the silver feed arm is connected to the machine.

Problem with bobbin case - new machine Singer CE 100

My problem is solved (I think...that is a knock on wood kind of thing). Upon recommendation from another Futura user, I remove and clean my bobbin case and I put a drop of oil in the little hole under my bobbin case about every 5th or 6th monogram use. AND, I pitched all of my bobbins that were 15 and not 15J (I had some that were 15 and they were the culprit as well.) I have had no more problem. It seemed the least bit of lint caused me a lot of birdnesting. I also stopped using rayon thread and use only polyester and bobbin fill in the bobbin. I have got to say I am thoroughly enjoying my machine these days. Please try these things before giving up on this so user friendly machine.
