Echo in hs850 headset

When I am talking to others on their cell phones while using my headset, they complain that they can hear their voice echoing back to them. Several people have told me this. I tried changing the volume on the headset, but it didn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

You did not say what phone you are using but I found that this problem went away for me when I changed a setting on my blackberry. I turned "encryption" off in the bluetooth settings on my blackberry 7100t and solved the echo problem. Alternatively, there might be a "compression" setting also. This one made no difference for me but might for you on your device. Also, make sure any firmware or software updates for your phone have been applied. On blackberry devices you do this via a PC. On cell phones it usually involves a reset or update from some buried menu options or call to their tech support. good luck.

I am using a Nokia Wireless Headset HS_26W with a Nokia 2600 mobile phone. I can hear people I call perfectly, however, they all complain of an echo at their end Any solutions Thanks

hmm..that is a little odd..it may be coming from your voice hitting the wireless headset and also the mike on the phone at basically, but not precisely the same time..try it with the phone far enough away so that the mike on the unit can not pick up your voice..

Cs540 caller hears echo

Hello, if they are hearing echo, you are speaking too loud. Or have the receiver too close and talking too loud. Or the person on the other end of the line has phone line problems.

Bad echo in ear piece while talking

You can try adjusting the volume and see if any results. Try to verify if it is a hardware defect by using a Bluetooth piece and if you get better results.

Problems with my motorola hs850

Set your volume to mid range. If it continues you'll need to return it or exchange it. The voice pickup sencer in the bluetooth is defective. Or the phone needs an upgrade.

Echo when using HS850

It might be a problem with their sound setting. If their speakers are on while using the mic, they might get some feedback that could be the cause of the echo. They may even just have to tweak their mic settings (through the control panel sound options or their soundcard options).
