6161T timer switch LEDs just blink for the fan. The light works on the fan. The fan works on straight 120v.

Leviton 6161 is shown on Leviton as 500 watt incandescent-only 4-level dimmer that cannot control a fan.
If this is a ceiling fan and light, then search for fan light dimmer, or fan control,

If this is bathroom fan-light installation, you are needing a countdown timer rated for both bulb and fan... which will require Neutral wire...

I remodeled my kitchen and replaced my leviton dimmer switch with another brand. After installation I turned the light fixture on. Only one of the three lights of the single fixture turned on for...

Hi Leonard,

I'm a licensed electrician and will be happy to help you get this working again. I suspect an incorrectly wired or incompatible switch or a load that is not designed for dimming. To know which one(s) is the problem and to be able to provide a solution, I need a little more information.

1) What was the old switch brand and model number?
2) What is the new Leviton switch's model number?
3) What type of light bulbs are you trying to operate in the 3 fixtures?
4) What is the number of and wattage of each lamp in the fixtures?
5) How many switches operate the lights?
5a) If more than one switch is used, what is the brand and model number of the other switch(es)?

Thanks

Lights go on and off not adhering to timer schedule

You posted under Leviton 6124 timer.

I have tested this timer.

If timer worked correctly before and then started blinking, the timer might be bad.
Turn off power to timer and see if timer resets.

If this is new installation and lights are blinking on-off, then white and red wires are probably connected together.
Re-connect wires.
Open link below to read ez-wiring steps, and to access on-line manual.

Leviton 3-way wide view motion activated light control, flickers, then blinks then shuts off after installation. Installed in a hallway with florescent lighting.

Some switches are not designed to work with the florescent bulbs. It's a matter of them trying to push a starter for the light. Check the package and see if it's compatible.

I have installed (or tried to) three different Leviton PR 180s in my front hall. All operated the 23 watt fluorescent bulb in the fixture satisfactorily, but were not affected by the ambient light; that...

The Leviton PR180 is a motion detector, or occupancy detector.
It senses infrared heat from a person's body.

I am looking at the manual from Leviton.

Maybe this will help:
There is a small adjustment screw under the wallplate where you can adjust light sensitivity.
Use fingernail or small screwdriver.
Turn control towards the "-" sign and lights will turn on in 'less lighting conditions'

I will be here for a few more hours.

I am trying to replace a two wire light switch(both white) with a leviton photoelectric 3 wire motion activated light control(red, black and green). I am trying to determine which wire goes to which?

one of the white wires has power on it constantly....that wire connects to the black wire of the leviton.......the other white wire which has no power to it is going to whatever needs power so that wire connects to the red wire of the leviton....the green wire connects to the metal box where your mounting the leviton.

Sodium security blinks on and off all night , has replace bulb and works for about a year. then the blinking starts back

is there another light in the vacinity or is the light in question itself pointed at the photocell. most likely scenarios are that the light is pointing at its own photocell so when it is off the photosell senses dark and turns it on but then when light comes on tricks photocell into thinking it is daylight, check position of photocell and adjust away from light source if problem persist could be ballast going bad
