The speakers need some kind of amplification, if you have something like a set of computer speakers connected and they are not powered they won't work, try connecting them to the headphone jack.
Let me know the set up, what kind of speakers, audio settings from the tv menu.

Hello Fixya team, I need help!

To set up your home theater system with the equipment you mentioned, follow these steps:
  1. Connect the Onkyo receiver to the NEC TV using an HDMI cable. Make sure the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct input for the Onkyo receiver.
  2. Connect the Panasonic DVD player to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the Firestick Lite to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  4. Connect the Panasonic speakers to the Onkyo receiver using speaker wires. Make sure you connect the speakers to the correct speaker terminals on the receiver, which are usually labeled with the speaker's position (e.g. front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right).
  5. Configure the Onkyo receiver to use the correct input for each device. For example, set the input to "DVD" when you want to watch a movie on the Panasonic DVD player, or set the input to "Firestick" when you want to watch content on the Firestick Lite.
  6. Configure the audio settings on the Onkyo receiver to use the correct audio format for your content. For example, if you are watching a movie with Dolby Digital surround sound, make sure the receiver is set to decode Dolby Digital audio.
  7. Adjust the volume and other audio settings on the Onkyo receiver as needed to optimize the sound quality.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to enjoy surround sound audio from your Panasonic speakers through the Onkyo receiver.

My speakers are plugged in and connected but there is no sound and it says there is no audio device. how do i fix it

Check that the speakers are powered on (assuming they need power) and that the volume control is set at a mid-level.Next check that you have the speaker 3.5mm jack plug inserted into the correct speaker socket on the audio card - there are normally three sockets, one each for a microphone, speaker or headphone output and for line output - these are often colour coded on newer systems and if so, match the colour of the speaker jack plug to the speaker socket. If the speakers are connected by USB instead of an audio jack plug, then check to see if the USB device has been recognised automatically - if not, then you may need to find any software that came with the speakers and install this before the system will recognise them. Finally, open the system audio controls and check what device is selected for audio output - ensure that this is the same as the speaker device you are wanting to use.One further test, if you have the speakers powered on and they have a standard audio jack, you should hear some feedback sound if you touch the contacts at the end of the jack plug with your fingers.

I don't know which port in the back of the Pavilion to connect the black wire from the speakers (that connect to the right speaker with red and white ends). Any ideas? They are labeled as side, rear...

To get "surround" sound, when you face the computer, you will have:
* 2 front speakers, one immediately on each side of the computer
* 2 side speakers, one on each side of your head
* 2 rear speakers, one behind each side of your head

Thus, when the sound is of a jet-plane coming towards your face,
you'll first hear the sound in the front speakers,
then in the side speakers,
and finally in the rear speakers,
to produce a sound-effect of the jet passing over your head, and going "behind" you.

Usually, for "front" speakers, one speaker connects to the other speaker, and the second speaker connects to the "FRONT-audio-output" connector on your sound-card.

For side speakers, one speaker will connect to the LEFT-side-audio-output port,
and one speaker will connect to the RIGHT-side-audio-output port.

For rear speakers, one speaker will connect to the LEFT-rear-audio-output port,
and one speaker will connect to the RIGHT-rear-audio-output port.

Lost AUDIO on my set. Speaker leads are intact and connected. Where else can I look for cause

You need to know if the speaker on the set is good. Try this, with the set turned off, "rig a 1.5 vdc battery with 1 lead to the + and another lead to the - signs. Touch one wire lead to the plus side of the speaker connector and "tap" the other lead to the minus speaker connection.. You should be able to hear a "rasping" sound coming out of the speaker, that is, if the speaker is good. If the speaker is bad, replace it.

If the speaker in the set is good, then check the Audio output transistor and the audio driver transistor.
Check for cold solder joints close to and in the vicinity of these two components.

Another alternative to checking the speaker is to get a small AC-DC transformer, like those used to charge your cell phones. Use one that has an output of 1.5 V dc to safely check the speaker(s). Good luck!

I cant get any sound I did the trouble shooting

Changing the Audio Output
To switch audio output from the internal TV speakers to a connected external sound system or headphones:
Press 1. MORE.
Press 2. 9 (AUDIO).
Press 3. until the Speakers option is displayed. The Speakers option will display only if an A/V receiver connection has been detected.
Press 4. to switch between TV and either AV Receiver or Headphones.

Check if the MUTE key is on.
• The TV's "Listen to:" setting may be set to SAP (analog program from the ANT input) but no SAP is being broadcast.
• Check that the Speakers option is set to TV to hear sound from the TV speakers. Possibly sound is being sent to one of the audio outputs for an A/V receiver or headphones.
• If using an A/V receiver, check that the Speakers option is set to AV Receiver to hear sound from the A/V receiver speakers.
Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds to perform System Reset.

My Protron tv does not have any sound, what could be the problem?

hi,
First of check that is the MUTE is on or not. Press the mute button on the remote to cahne the setting of mute.

the also the problem remains. you tvs speaker or the audio output ic have some problem. first of all check the speaker. Is it ok or not. for checking the same u have to open the tv. if you can then,

Remove the rare cover of your tv. find out the position of the speakers. remove the speaker connection from the board. It will be a socket you can easily remove it by pulling it.
Then take a 1.5V cell. The speaker will have to connectors from which the wire is connected. connect cell between it, if you hear a small cracking sound from the speaker the it is ok if not the speaker is faulty.

if the speaker is ok the the audio out put ic (integreted circuit ) will be faulty. u can see the audio output ic near the speaker socket from where you have pullout the wire. check the number noted in its top and bring a new one and replace it . for removing and replacing the audio output ic you should have soldering iron , de soldering pump and solder.

How do I connect speakers

to connect speakers: You look at the back of your computer, there will be several small holes, most are color coded. the green hole is the output for speakers.
there is usually also a small arrow pointing away from the hole, this is the icon for OUTPUT. Other holes will have an icon for INPUT and for microphones.
If you have trouble seeing these things, you can just plug your speakers into the first hole. Goto YouTube and play a video, If you hear sound you have the right output. If no sound, try the speakers in the next hole. Continue until you hear the sound. ( this will not hurt the computer or the speakers )
NOTE: make sure the volume is turned UP on the speakers and the volume is turned UP on the computer.

Audio do not play

Unplug speaker connection. Go to Control Panel, double-click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" and on "Volume" tab make sure "mute" is not checked and that volume is sufficiently up there. If thats ok select "Sounds" tab and go to "Program events", select any Windows sounds and check to see if you can hear the sound by clicking on the arrow next to it. If you can hear sound its ok so then check your speakers connection to correct sound output jack and that external speaker is powered on.

No sound

Check first if theres a speaker cutoff in the menu of the set or the back of the set. Next see if theres a headphone jack and plug in a set of phones to see if you get sound. If you do a connection on the jack is bad. if you put youe ear right next to the speaker and hear a little background noise or a little sound then its probably in the volume control curcuit. if you hear nothing at all its the audio output IC or the speaker itself is defective. Good Luck
