Lenovo 3000 N100 vista 64-bit problem

My Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop with Vista 64-bit, while running, it freezes. I assume that the problem is due to the driver, but I do not know whether they are drivers for notebook or Vista 64-bit. Does someone can help me, because notebook freeze during the work, so I have to turn off the power button, and then I lose everything I've worked on it ?

I don't follow your assumption. Not unless you didn't have Vista 64-bit originally, and have installed it.

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System, to communicate with a device

However;

Lenovo Support > Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook PC > Drivers download page,

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-63572

My thinking is the laptop is dirty inside.

Air cools the hardware components inside the laptop.
The cooling fan draws air from the Bottom of the laptop.
Dust, dirt, hair, lint, food crumbs,....you name it; is drawn in.

The Processor and graphics chipset, are the two hardware components that give off the most heat.
When a Processor overheats, it turns off. (BIOS turns it off)
This is a fail safe feature built in.
Keeps the Processor from burning up.

ALL power removed, (AC adapter {Charger}, and Battery), and blow-ing air in the intake port, (Fan opening), will NOT repair.
At most it is a temporary repair. Kind of like putting a Bandaid on a hole in a dam.

Laptop needs to be partially disassembled, and Q-tips, soft small brush, (Old makeup brush?), plus a can of compressed air for computers; needs to be used.

Click on the bold black subheading - Hardware maintenance manuals
It is a Service Manual in PDF file form.

Also remove the Ram Memory module/s ('Stick'), and clean the gold plated contact pins, with a pencil eraser. Use air to remove the eraser dust, reinstall.

FOR WEBCAM Driver follow :

1. Downloaded the file.
2. Unzipp it to a folder on my desktop.
3. Run the "Setup.exe" file in the folder that got unzipped.
4. Go through the installer until it got to the end and then let it restart my computer.
5. Wait for computer to restart.
6. It should pop up something saying it was installing the drivers for my webcam. Wait until it was done.
7. Open the Control Panel.
8. Open the Device Manager.
9. You shoud find webcam under "Imaging Devices". It may be listed as "HP Pavilion Webcam" despite having just installed the Acer drivers.
10. Right-clicked on my webcam and chose "Update Driver Software..."
11. Chose "Browse my computer for driver software"
12. Chose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
13. Unchecked the "Show compatible hardware" checkbox.
14. Scrolled down to the Chicony manufacturer.
15. Chose the "Acer Crystal Eye webcam.
16. Tell it to install anyway when it asked me a question about installing that driver.
17. Wait for the driver to be installed.
18. Webcam was now listed as an Acer Crystal Eye webcam in Device Manager.

Hello, I'm sorry but Lenovo has yet to release windows 7 drivers for your 3000 Y410 Notebook. The most current easy cam driver is for vista, you can get it here:

Go to the camera section and give it a try since hardware sometimes have the same drivers for vista and 7

My lenovo y410 integrated web cam is not working after installing windows 7 Think driver is not supporting.Any substitute driver is available? how to solve this problem?

Lenovo 3000 Y410 is not designed for windows 7, I don't think that Lenovo will make drivers for windows 7, you can try to install the Vista drivers. here is the link for 32 bit, they did not release any 64 bit drivers for this model. you can download and save the drivers to your computer then right click the installer then click properties, click the compatibility tab then select run this program in compatibility for Vista Service pack 2. If it still doesnt work you can try to run Windows update and hopefully microsoft have some patch for that.
Hope This help.
