Got a Bosche Dishwasher that doesn't drain or make a sound when I try to cancel drain. When I press both buttons to cancel drain then close the door, the machine doesn't make any noise. I assume the solenoids are not activating or it's not gettin the power to start the pump or know to start draining. The Hose, airgap and stainer are all clear. There is nothing obstucting the drain flow. The two buttons you are required to press simultaniously to cancel drain will start to blink at the same time when I depress them while powering the DW up. They continue to blink whether I close the door or not. No noise comes from the mach. either way. When the DW is in the power "on" postion, the Drain bypass buttons will not light nor do anything when depress simultaniously. It is only when I turn the machine "off" and then back on while pressing both buttons that I will get them to start blinking simultaneously, hoping to engage drain. While they are blinking, I close the door but nothing happens. No noise like a clog or obstuction. Just the lights continue to blink. I can turn the power off and back on, and that clears the blinking lights. I can run a wash. but can't get it to engage the drain bypass cycle. or pump water out. Why are the lights blinking? Why can't I hear the pump or solenoid engage or try to start draining (as thought a object is stuck in the propellers?) Is there a reset to the drain motor or a fuse? Can I put a volt tester on terminals to check pump or solenoid activation at the point of connection?
I had a similar problem and called out an engineer. When he ran it on rinse it worked fine. Said the micro chip had got confused because I kept pressing buttons. Worked fine for a few weeks and has started playing up again. I have reset it again and hope for the best!
When you said "I can run a wash", does the machine act normal for that time frame up to the point of drain? if yes, the pump is fine. sounds more like the micro chip on the board is "confused", but not sure why.
Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.
Hope this helps

I won't be able to run another cycle until it is installed in my new apartment next week. I will see if the machine acts "norm" up to the point of draining. I would say yes. What does the mother board or chip cost or how can I test mode to see if this is the culprit? thanks
cleaned filter, drain hose, etc. it goes through the cleaning cycles, but does not drain completely; a pool of water left on bottom, approximately 2 inches deep.
the start button lights blink, but when I press the button, nothing happens
