How to reset the check filter message

I cleaned the filter and the vent hose , now the "check filter"light will not go away

  • Anonymous Nov 26, 2012

I disconnected power for a few minutes and then plugged it back in. The message still comes on for a instant but the dryer works now. My wife said the message always flashed until you hit the button to start.

OK, you will need to replace the center post seals. The parts are less than $10.00 but you will need a special tool to get the basket out. Let me know if you want to tackle this job yourself and I will direct you to the parts and the tool and a video to walk you thru the repair. A service call for this will be anywhere from $100.00 to $150.00. Keep me posted!

Check filter light blinking will not start only beeps what to do please help

Probably a lint buildup on the sensor. Need to clean the entire lint system. Should be able to remove the plastic frill if the lint filter is inside the drum. Remove the two screws and clean out all the lint then pull the dryer out remove the vent hose. Run a vacuum hose or reach up i to there and pull out the li t. Then clean out the vent hise...a broom handle works if it's a straight shot.

I have a Asko T793C dryer. My clothes are unable to complete its cycle as halfway through the display panel will show a message "Clean Lint Filter". After I cleaned it, the cycle will continue...

I would take the vent off entirely and run it like that, if the alarms go away your problem is more than likely in the wall somewhere and a service will need to be called to clear the obstruction, if it does return the blower wheel or housing may be damaged.

LG Tromm DLE8377NM check filter but filter is clean

You say lint hose is disconnected. Are you referring to the exhaust vent to the outside? I would suspect this vent is clogged or a vent flapper outside may be stuck shut.

I have had this elect dryer for about 3 years. Same prob from the start.. Takes forever to dry any load of clothes.. Litterally 4 plus hours to dry 5 bath towel and 6 or 7 wash cloths.. this is...

Long drying times can commonly be the result of improper or restricted venting.

Examine your vent hose. How long is it? Too many bends?

Check to make sure your vent hose is clear and free of an restrictions.

If vented outside, is the flap opening properly and free of lint buildup and is the hose clear?

Pull your dryer away from the wall and disconnect the vent hose, use a vacuum or brush to clean out the inside of the hose, sometimes shaking the hose a bit (if possible) will free any lint buildup that your vacuum or brush may have missed.

Don't overlook cleaning out the pipe that the hose connects to on the back of the dryer.

Lastly if you have a lint filter that's on the top like mine, remove the lint filter and check for obstructions there, use a lint filter brush and clean well, this is often overlooked and a major cause of poor drying, overheating, or fire.

I have a large capacity front load LG electric dryer. I keep getting the "check filter" message & the filters are clean. The dryer will not stay on. HELP!

The message does not only refer to filters, badly written.
There is an air flow restriction that the machine senses and is warning about.
check the fan and fan housing for lint that has got past the screens, then pull the dryer away from the wall and check the exhaust duct for lint, all the way to the wall
then check the outside wall vent for lint build up in the rodent screen
