Still cannot get any picture at all - completely black screen

I have the KDS-50A2000. The TV abruptly shut off. When I turned it on again, it blinked seven green lights and then four red lights. I replaced the lamp to find out that it did not fix the problem. After reading several posts, I checked the fans today. I blew two and half years of dust out of the main fan and the lamp light fan. It worked!

Check the fans located in the rear of the set. the fan that cools the lamp is most likely not turning. Power the set up then take a flashlight and see if it is turning. if not then replace that fan. there are also a fan or two in the inside of the set that could also be bad but not as likley.

Hi. Not shore of this model but could be a bulb replacement is needed, Or one of the filter covers may not be making contact.

The red light is indicative of error rather than working ( green ) or standby ( orange ).

KDS-55A2000 flashes green then red 5 times/won't turn on
Likely lamp or lamp ballast. Error is ballast, but usually lamp shorted. You can try lamp, but ballast requires a shop.

Hello, I have a Sony KDS-55A2000 and it works fine for a couple of minutes and then it switches off and the green led starts blinking for about a minute and then the picture comes back and works fine
First thought would be the lamp may be about to fail if it has not been replaced in a long time---a warning will be the picture is a bit darker than before and takes longer to get bright than it once did.

I JUST REPLACE MY LAMP IN MY SONY KDS-55A2000 HOW DO I RESET THE LAMP HOURS..TV IS STILL READING PROJECTION LAMP NEARING LIFE END
you need to go into the TV's menu and select replace projection lamp menu and follow the on screen instructions to verify and reset the lamp timer, (its in your instruction manual , in detail) , i am awaiting a new phillips bulb for mine, as i always use the original enclosure, no need for extra plastic, and its easy to complete the swap, and reset hours via TV menu

Red Lamp light might be blinking in your TV, that means TV needs new lamp as existing lamp inside TV is broken or dear.
Please replace lamp in your Sony KDS-55A2000 TV and lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual.
