I was just given a toshiba 65" hd rear projection tv that doesn't work. When I turn it on I get the power light on but nothing else. Not even a humming noise. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also do not have a manual for the tv. Is there a place where I can get one. Thank you in advance for any help in this matter. bwb68
I have a Toshiba also and have had that same problem and it was the home theater and not the tv. Make sure you have signal in the incoming coax and in the proper location on the rear of set and the satellite receiver (or whatever) matched with TV on a channel. I got my manual on line, free. You need the remote rather than using the buttons under the flip door.
I've had my tv for a month and now when i turn it on i i can hear sound but the lamp light keeps blinking does that mean i need to get a new lamp?
Is the light flashing? Many things will cause a no power condition, might be shorted Convergence IC's, Z801 Ic could cause trouble, might want to call service man.

For a while when we turned the tv on, it would take a couple of minutes for the picture to come in clear. Sometimes the power light would start blinking, but after unplugging and plugging back in the picture came back. Today, the picture and sound completely went out and the power button stayed on. What solution do you recommend?
