If you have a repair disk, of course you can try it to crack Windows password. But if you don't have maybe you can consider using Ophcrack. Most time it is helpful but cannot guarantee 100% successful reset. Above all, the last one should be the best method for your Windows 8 password reset. Another safe and effective software you can try, Anmosoft Windows Password Reset, which I have used and you can visit from:http://www.resetwindowspassword.com

You can try with some tools which can help you login without password. For free, recommend PC Login Now. But I cannot guarantee that can be OK in your Windows System, though normally effective for most system. For commercial, you can consider Windows Login Recovery, which can guarantee 100% successful reset. Only 3 steps and 5 minutes you should need. And details you can learn from:http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com

There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but I’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password
You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:
1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.
Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.

When I log on it says the user profile failed to upload. I can purposly put in an incorrect password and it says that is is incorrect, but with the correct password,it just says failed to upload.

It's exactly what it says - your user profile is corrupted. Login as admin, create a new user and move all your file to it. Login in the new user, make sure it's ok and all the files are there then rebbot, login again as admin and delete the old user.

Unable to login to laptop due to forgotten login password

First thing you can try is:

1: When booting up the laptop Press F8 until you see a screen show that has an option to boot in "Safe Mode"
2: Once it has finished booting up you can Select Administrator and hopefully there is no password set.
3: If there is no password set then login as Administrator and goto "Control Panel", Select User Accounts and change your daughter's password to something she wont forget ;p

if that fails then you can try this

http://www.lostpassword.com/

Offers a program that resets your passwords.

Hope this helped.

Locked out...can you help me

ou have lost or forget ten the XP administrator password, first reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeated as the computer starts up. Then (in safe mode) click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes.
You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.
Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password.
You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK.
