How to tighten the belt on haier hlp21e

The machine stops a few minutes after it starts (at wash, spin or rinse). based on reviews and solutions here, I just checked the belt and it seems slightly loose. How should I tighten it?

When it stops post here what blinking lights are on.
Belt should have some movement. If you hear the motor straining but the tub is stuck then it will be worn, hot and flaking.
The water pressure switch can stop the unit
The safety switch can also stop the unit for out of balance. I would reload the washer and check if level as well. Then see if you get the blinking lights.

Err7 is a motor error.Check out the following Haier washer manual link (page number 17).

The only solution suggested is to replace the motor.

SOURCE: Haier HLP21E 6.6-Lb How do I remove lint filter?

You grab the plastic top and bottom of the filter and kind of pinch it so it pops out.  It's held in by small pegs on both ends.

SOURCE: dripping wet clothes

will be an UNBalanced load, maybe there was not enough clothes in the load so in that case the drum would not be able to distribute the load evenly so gave up on the spin, hence wet stuff!

SOURCE: Can't find Haier lint filter for HLP21E

http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=b198i1226155&PartID=1226155
My washer did not come with the Lint Filter. I contacted Haier Customer Service and sent them all the info they requested such as copy of receipt and etc. That was several weeks ago and Haier still says that they have yet to receive that letter. Or they say that due to high volume of warranty letters they receive, they have yet to process it. Anyways, I got fed up with the customer service or lack of, I started surfing the web for the lint filter and found the above site. The filter is very inexpensive and I got it in several days.

Why will Haier HLP21E drain following wash cycle, but not drain following rinse cycle/before spin cycle?

Hello Michael;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

It sounds like your system just needs a good cleaning. Soap film will build up on the draining system components. You need to clean your float and insure it moves freely and makes contact with the float switch which turns on the pump. You may also need to disassemble your pump for cleaning.

There are products available for cleaning clothes washers, but these need to be used on a regular bases. I do not think they can clean enough to solve your current problem. Use after you have cleaned.

Why doesn't Washer drain water in spin cycle.

If it drains OK during wash and rinse cycles, then the controller is not turning the pump on for some reason.

Washer tub does not move to spin or wash

You either have a bad solenoid, timer, loose belt, or water level sensor.

Haier HLP21E Top Load washer keeps beeping & blinking after water intake. It will rinse out the water when 'rinse' pressed. However it does not 'spin' but instead all three orange lights start blinking &...

I have a Haier HLP21N that had the same problem. Three blinking lights and refused to spin. It turns out the issue was the lid. The left side plastic hinge had broken the week before. What I didn't realize is that when the lid closes, that back hinge pushes up a rod which tells the machine that the lid is closed and it's safe to spin. So check that hinge and if it is broken you will either need to order a new lid or find some material to stuff under the hinge so that it stays up. I chose the latter option. Just know that going the DIY route means that your machine will continue to spin if you open the lid going forward!

Haier model HLP21E. The wash cycle doesn't seem to do anything but the rinse cycle and spin cycle work well.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.
