I have a fairly new Panasonic TH-42PX80U that has power but just simply wont turn on. i did a voltage check and it does have power running through it. please help me fix this...
have you checked every voltage that comes OUT of the supply. Just because you have AC into the supply does not verify that you have all of the DC voltages coming OUT of it. have you checked every voltage that comes OUT of the supply. Before spend $$ on replacement boards, make sure anything attached to it is powered off. Unplug TV for 5mn to 15min. Plug back in and it should power on. If not leave unplugged overnight before spending on a replacement board. We have to do this 2-3 times per year when someone forgets to turn off auxiliary components (receiver, DVD, cable box, etc) first. It has always come back on.
hi,
In your tv there some problem with power supply. you have to check the followin voltages. Sub 5v SOS ,Main 3.3v SOS A-Board,DTV 9v SOS , Tuner Power SOS. If any one of the voltage fails it will shows 10 blinks.
ok
More likely to have power supply module failure, that will be the first place to look.
Most common failures in PLASMA TV are due to bad power supply module, Z and Y Sustain modules.
Had this problem as well. Held down the power button and it seemed to reset itself....powered on fine after that. Still makes me nervous and would like to figure out the cause. In my case, red light flashed 3 times when attemping to power on.
Unplug the power cord, wait and watch the power light until it goes out completely, then wait 3 - 4 more min. and then plug the power cord back in and it should turn on.... its a hassle but at least it works.
You most likley have an issue with your power supply. I am sure you have AC getting to the power supply but he question is are there any DC voltages coming out of it to make the set operate? I would suggest changing the power supply first.
