Control on tv do not work.

Good morning,
The cable box controller is used almost exclusively. I started to not be able to control the volume. I thought it needed new batteries, but that didn't help. I then tried to use the remote that belongs to the tv and when it didn't work, I changed those batteries...still no luck. I then tried using the controls on the side panel of the tv and they don't work. I can't even turn the tv off and on using the side panel. I turned off the cable box and a pale blue screen stayed on all night.

The only thing I can think of here is that your logic circuit on the TV is 'confused'. The best thing you can generally use to reset it is to disconnect the tv from the wall power for half an hour. That should reset everything. If that doesn't do it, you will need some kind of service.

I have a remote for tv manufactured 2010 . remote #bn59-01042a and want to use it to control surround sound jvc power unit how do i program it?

One Remote for Multiple Devices The way to control external devices with that remote is to use Anynet+. Check your owner's manual for it. It's listed as an application on the tv menu.

With Anynet+, just one remote control that works with up to a dozen devices, using HDMI cables to connect them to your HD TV. That means HDMI provides superior audio and video quality, neatly connected.
You can control a cable box, DVD or Blu-ray player, home theater system and more through the Anynet+ network-and that includes devices such as digital cameras and camcorders. One thing to remember-the devices must be Anynet+ enabled for the network to activate.

Exclusive Samsung Technology
The technology was introduced by Samsung in 2007, and has been upgraded since then. It's exclusive to Samsung products.
How Anynet+ Works It's a wired network system. By accessing a special menu on your Samsung TVs, you can control any connected device using nothing but the Anynet+ remote.
The remote adjusts volume and picture on any component. In fact, Anynet+ is so smart that the moment you insert a movie disc into a Blu-ray or DVD player, all AV equipment connected to your TV automatically turns on, including external speakers.
Another nice feature is that you don't need to have a component within your line of sight to make it work. In fact, you can have your whole Anynet+ system enclosed within a cabinet, and still be able to control it.

A Simple System
Anynet+ does all the work for you. Multiple devices are consolidated into one easy system-a central location for viewing home movies and pictures, too. There's no confusing networking or complicated wiring to set up. The touch of one button turns everything on or off, or puts everything into standby mode.

In order to best assist you I will need a little more information. Have you tried checking the cables running from the receiver to the TV? Are there any devices connected between the receiver and your TV? Also what type cables are connecting the receiver to the television?

How do i link my time warner remote to be the main control i use to control volume and on/off. is there a code?

To control on/off,is the TV plugged into the cable box? That's how that works normally. If it is not plugged in right now,do that, that should control the on/off at least, then try the volume. If neither is still correct, please write back and I'll see what I can do.Good luck!

Volume control does not work using the TV's remote, the cable remote or the actual volume control button on the front of the set - the volume that comes out of the TV's speakers is constant - about 33% of...

SO YOU JUST GOT A NEW TV ...BUT...THE VOLUME CONTROL IS NOT WORKING FROM YOUR CABLE BOX.

EASY! BRING UP THE IMAGE OF YOUR REMOTE FOR
YOUR CABLE (MORE THAN LIKELY, IT'S A UNIVERSAL).

CLICK ON THE REMOTE FOR INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOLUME LOCK.

IF IT'S A UNIVERSAL REMOTE, CLICK SETUP (TWO BLINKING LIGHTS) TYPE 993, AND HIT CABLE BUTTON.

VOILA! YOU CAN NOW CONTROL VOLUME FROM YOUR CABLE REMOTE!

Volume control on Insignia remote doesn't work.. Have to use cable box remote to control volume.

Your remote control may be faulty. If you can control the volume from the cable box and from the buttons on the TV - then I'm pretty convinced the remote control needs replacing.

Connecting samsung home theater to samsung lcd tv and direct tv

Need to get more granular on this, Does the volume work HT remote, for like radio, cd, ipod audio? For you to use the tv audio through the HTB the tv's audio settings should be on the "fixed" output option. This gives a line level to the Amp independant of the tvs volume adhjustment. Otherwise you will need to adjust tvs volume 75% or so before the audio amp will reproduce a good volume. Turn down audio amp prior to making any adjustments. Let me know thx

Sound Issue

Check the cable box volume. Most boxes allow you to adjust the volume from the box to the TV, and most likely it's gotten turned down. Use the "Volume" control on the cable box to bring the level back up. (Unless the box remote has been set up for RCA, it controls the box volume. Once you get the volume back up, follow the cable provider's instructions for setting the remote to control an RCA. Then the volume control will function correctly.)

Zenith system 3 tv will not turn on

I'd say just get a stereo system (amplifier) or something like that, and hook your cable box, vcr, converter or whatever you have right into that. That's what I've been doing for years. Most cable boxes and satellite boxes will control the main volume that goes to the sound output, or you can get a digital stereo with a remote to control the volume that way.
