My cell phone won't read my MicroSD 2GB memory chip

My cell phone will constantly change 'status' saything that the 'chip' was removed, then if I apply pressure or something to the phone then it will say that the chip was reinserted. But now even with the chip in, my cell phone won't read it, and I have lost all my pictures and music. HELP!

SOURCE: my microsd 2gb memory card

You will need to use a regular SD Card Adapter for the micro sd card. The micro sd card itself does not have a write protected switch, but a regular SD card adapter will, and that does affect the microsd card. You just need to put it in an adapter, flip the switch to make sure it knows it is "locked" - so switch it to locked first, then switch it to unlocked. From there you should be able to write to the card. If you can not then it is possible the micro-sd card is having physical problems and may need to be replaced. Here is a little diagram showing how to unlock the card. Before you go though please make sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me for you to do so. I would be forever grateful!

The smallest card pictured there is a 2GB microSD card, which is an actual memory card. The biggest is an SD adaptor the microSD to fit into and the second biggest is a miniSD adaptor.

I CAN`T PUT MUSIC IN IT

Make sure that the microSD card is formatted. You may reformat the memory card using your phone and then try saving some music.

If that will not do any help, try using another microSD card to see if the card is defective.

Have a great day!

Is there a way to use a MicroSD Card larger than 1 GB

There is no way to uncap the phone's capabilities. It can only handle up to a 2GB MicroSD card.
