Question about Refrigerators
Opened freezer to get ice out of ice ben and there was water instead of ice. pulled frig out to check fan (someone told me to check fan motor on bottom back of frig) fan was not turning, unpluged frig to check fan and found dead mouse stuck in fan. cleaned fan and coils pluged frig back in and fan motor came on seems to be blowing air good ( can feel air flow coming out front of frig on bottom. after a few hours + - it dropped ice (thought promblem was fixed) next afternoon checked ice ben and only the ice that dropped the night before was in ben (only dropped one tray of ice) next afternoon ice was melted . tried locating the defrost timer in frig and freezer and no luck please help?
You have to replace the electrical components on the side of the compressor. The heat from the fan not running by the compressor more than likely has damaged them. These are a safety feature to save the compressor from damage when it overheats.
You can find the factory repair manual here. This will have all the part numbers and what you need to replace to take care of your refrigerator. The Top Freezer Refrigerator one will be about your machine. It covers all the FRT Models.
