Take out all poles and stakes and tend and seperate.. First lay tent on ground and streatch out where you wish to pitch the tent. Then take stakes and place them in the four corners of tent through the loops so ththat when you hammer in the stakes the tent is nice and stretched out tightly. There should be two more loops on each side int the middle. When the tent is secure to the ground, take the poles that should have been put together and feed them through the hoops of the tent on the sides and top. Leave the top center parts of poles apart until you have poles through rest of loops and attatch them at the top of tent. front, back and center usually work pretty good for order. Doint middle last because it is the highest point. Hope not too confuseing. I camped a month every year for many years. You never forget.
the 2 longest of the poles go in an x over the center of the tent and the 2 shorter ones go arch to the sides. http://www.wenzelco.com/details.aspx?NavID=412 shows a picture very similar to your tent. If you go to image 2 it shows it with out the fly. now if you got 2 sets of 4 poles, 2 long and 2 short, and one set is all aluminum, then I would go with the aluminum set. It is less likely to collapse in high winds.
