I have a green semi circle showing up at the bottom of my tv and red and green lines on the left side. Looks kinda distorted like when you put a magnet against an older tv. Thats caused by failed convergence ICs and the 6.8 ohm resistors. You can get the repair kit called the DPTV305 -DPTV345 & MAG01 chassis convergence repair kit which fits your model. The kit has the components and the CD with repair instructions and its available at the following link top of the page. http://tvrepairworld.com/phillips__magnavox_repair_kits

Hi, I used to work in Best Buy and one of the key things about rear projection TVs and the reason they push those service plans on you is that the tubes/colors need to be calibrated each year. You can do this yourself by checking out the following website:
http://lgknowledgebase.com/kb/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=3229 If you are not able to adjust the convergence using the remote you will need to replace the convergence chips.
Typical Symptoms
1) Convergence menu does not work for one or more colors. Such as: Red moves up,down, but left or right fails.
2) Screen is bowed looking.
If you have one or more of the problems above you need to replace the convergence chips. You can get a kit and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com Hope this helps :)
Take the TV to a repair shop. It sounds like the convergence chips are bad. Be sure they change them as a pair or you'll wind up with the same problem again.
High Voltage Capacitor? Leave the set unplugged for 1/2 hour most components will selfdischarge, as for your problem, being a Magnavox, you have one of two problems, the convergence I suspect is what is blown out, this unit probably uses STK392-110 Ic's, I would suggest replacing with STK394-160e chips as they are probably shorted, some of the big resistors (1 or 2) may be opened up also, usually they change color. The only other thing that would cause usually a yellow color in the corners is the CRT Fluid, it changes from clear to Orange in color and clamps off the blue color from the fringes, I suspect the chips need replacement, dont forget to put some heatsink dope behind them, they are usually on the left in the front of the set (from the back) Big long heatsink that is fairly tall (probably the biggest heatsink in the set.) Good luck, and the repair usually runs around $350.
