InstaJack & MajicJack: Ext. Phone can answer, but wont dial out
MajicJack is plugged into wireless extension jack, called InstaJack. ThePhone plugged into transmitter works ok, but the remote extension can only receive calls. When you try to dial out from the remote phone there is some delay which
seems to always produce the message: "In order to complete this call,
you must dial the area code and the phone number, thanks for using
MajicJack." Sometimes the number seems to dial, but then after ringing once it hangs up and you hear the dial tone again. When dialing, the first several digits are simultaneous with the dial tone and the last few are in the clear. That might be a clue.

Make sure you have the phone line plugged in, also make sure it's plugged into the LINE port on the machine. (Ext. is for a extension, i.e. secondary phone for manual dialing) Also check that the wall jack is functional too, easiest way to do this is hook up a regular phone to the jack and if you get a dial tone you know it's okay.
If the wall jack is getting a dial tone and the line is plugged into the LINE port you may have a bad phone cable, try a different one.
That sounds right. Most machines also have a jack for an extension phone or answering machine. That would be marked EXT in most cases. A quick test is to use it to call any other phone, even your cell phone. If your phone rings and squeals annoyingly when you answer it, you know the fax can call out. Of course, to fully test it, you need another fax machine to call.
The only thing that could stop you from sending a fax or not get a dial tone, would
be the connection to the phone line. Make sure the telephone wire is
plugged into the line jack (not ext jack) and should go straight to the wall, without
splitters or extensions. If you still cannot send a fax, try another
wire or jack

put an "H" after the extension in the voicemail, i.e. 200H, you have to put in your #656 #657 codes into the phones to integrate the voicemail. #656 91, ext of voicemail pilot, hold #657 92, ext of voicemail pilot, speed dial button (program one on the phone if it doesnt already have it), enter the number of seconds before the phone should forward to voicemail, i generally do 16, hold. that should fix that!
Do you mean check your v/m for your extension from somewhere other than your office by calling in?
If so, it would depend on how calls are answered at your office. If someone answers, have them transfer you to the ext number for VM. If you have an auto-attendant, or a DID directed to your extension, call and wait 'til VM answers.
Assuming the default settings are in place, dial "9" + your ext number, then your security code if you have one.
