There is two jack or ports on a used sony kdp-51ws550 i just bought being the cable port and the vhf/uhf port and i seem to get 9 channels when i plug in my cable wire only to the vhf port and only digital channels. but when i plug in the cable wire to the cable port it seems to get not even one channel. what can i do to solve this problem?
Hello,
First, I would change the cable that comes from the wall to the TV.
Plug the cable into the cable port, then go into the menu of the TV. Go to the channel setting and go down to where it says "CABLE YES/NO"and change it to cable YES. Then try to re-autoprogram it.
If there are no channels found after that, then you may have an issue with the tuner.
Hi Kimber,
The main reasons of your problem is the bulb which is
already faulty to its end. The unit will automatically shuts off when it sense a
bulb failure. But before you replace the bulb I would advice you to work first
on itspower supply. Look for open
fuse/fusible resistor and spot some bad solder joints. This will do the same symptoms
like what it showing now. If you don't have necessary tools
and test instruments, and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to
look for a professional to
troubleshoot the problem. Don't attempt to work in the power supply if you
don't know the safety precaution of
handling it, there some stored electricity enough to hurt you with
a little mistake only.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya
