I have a Mio 268+ sat nav system. The maps are not loading. Instead a large black rectangle appears in the centre and 2 smaller rectangles appear on the right hand side of the screen.
Turn the device off( from the back button) press volume up and the flag button( third from the right) in the same time and power on the device. Keep pressed the two buttons untill a screen shows . Press ok and then another ok. Then restart the device. This will do it
Please, read the instructions carefully. It will work. I do this every time and i charge money for that, there is no point to try to explain the procedure again.

i don't understand you people, why do you ask for help if you can not follow some simple steps? With the device turned off , keep pressed volume up wheel and "flag" button. While you pres those buttons you turn on the device and wait for a message to appear ( of course ...buttons still pressed until message).

Thanks for the advice, but it does not seem to be working. When I switch the device off from the back, no screen comes on when I press the two buttons. I'm not sure how a screen can appear when the main power at the back is switched off.
Thanks for the advice, but it is not working. How can a screen come on when the main power is switched off at the back ? I tried pressing the 2 buttons you recommended.
