We have a CS1000 rls 5.5 and on the 2033 polycom we have notice that most everytime you mute the polycom for 3-5 minutes then hit the mute button again to talk we have no talk path. If we put the call on hold then release it then we have the talk path and can talk and ber heard on the other end. Any idea on why the MUTE key has a timer or some sorts that blocks the talk path if on to long?

M7310 Non-Stop Dial Tone

Intercom button/s provide dial tone when they are pressed. They are required to call other phones on your system.
Sounds like your button is stuck or issue with the motherboard.

We have an old model of the Polycom Soundstation. It doesn't have a screen. It has a hangup function, volume control, mute button, numbers 0-9 (of course) and a button called 'R' - do you know what this...

you cant answer numerous calls on this system - you will need to set up a dial in number on a phone bridge provider and have all participants call into that number and then all of you will be in same conference call. this is best quality and the most managable way to do this. i am sure your phone provider can help you set this up. R if i remember correctly is for redial

Put Phone on Mute while on conference call

The button for handsfree is the same button for Mute.
So when you are on the handsfree call, press the handsfree button again and the call is muted on your side.

To talk again, press the handsfree button to un-mute the call, then press it again to mute your call.

To hang up press the orange RLS button.

We can't figure out how to turn off the intercom paging

Firstly, on your set that you want the paging to be taken off, dial FEATURE 0 and the intercom button to get the extension of your phone. Now hit the RLS button.

FEATURE * * 2 6 6 3 4 4
Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4

now you need to know the template (you will see 3 arrows on the screen of the phone):
<- Heading Enter->
<- Back Next->

Now you you will see:
-> TERMINALS&SETS and press Enter
-> type in the extension of your set and Enter
-> hit Next and enter at CAPABILITIES
-> keep hitting next till you see PAGE ZONE:1 and then press CHANGE till it says NONE
-> hit next once and then the RLS button...

Voila, your set will now not page anymore.

Yes, as you noticed FEATURE *6 only changes the ring tone on the set...

You have to go into system programming to make this change...

-> First you need to know the extension on the set, you can find this by doing FEATURE *0 and press the Intercom button.
-> Get into programming and you'll see TERMINALS&SETS and enter
-> type in extension that is giving you problems
-> hit next till you see LINE ACCESS and enter
-> the you'll see LINE ASSIGNMENT and enter
-> type in the line 003
-> and press change to APPR&RING
-> hit next and RLS to back out of programming
