Thin black line

Samsung 40" plasma tv the problem is that a black line across the screen about 3" up as apeered and is there while tv is on.

My 50' inch samsung plasma tv has 3 black line going horizontal from the bottom of the screen all the way to the top, the more i use my tv,the thicker the lines get..can this be fixed?

    If lines are going top to bottom they are vertical lies. My tv had a horizontal line from side to side but they did not get thicker. I had to get a new screen under warranty. I think you have a different problem, possibly one of the boards. Sorry I can't help any more.

Thin black line across screen of plasma tv
lines on a plasma tv can be cause by a few different things. One of your buffers might be bad. The logic board might be bad. Or your tv screen coldu be bad. The only way to find out is by replacing the boards or the screen.
