My Charmglow 1000 electric fireplace model # HEF33WDG will not heat, blows cold air. Can someone help?

I would take it to Big Lots, with your receipt, and exchange it. This is not a user serviceable problem.

Regina, if you can provide the correct Model Number for your fireplace, I may can help you. Without it, there's not much anyone can do, since the manufacturer, DESA International has been out of business for 4 years.

go to ebay and put in electric fireplace heater parts, the flame motor is around 20 bucks, and the heater element around 50 bucks Good luck

You will have to connect a 12v dc power supply to the flame motor. The controller on the board has fried. I built a regulated 12 v dc power supply and tapped it into the bulb circuit so it will power the motor when the bulbs come on. You may have to find an electrician or techie to rig this up safely.Good luck!

You have the wrong piece of equipment and do not list what I need.

Take the fan power switch apart and clean the 2 point contacts. Also clean the 4 male studs that the wires plug into. That should solve the problem.
