I have a Mitsubishi 62''DLP TV Model 62525.I have had this TV for 4 years and I have changed the lamp twice before this happened. The most recent lamp was put in 2 months prior to this problem. The lamp looked good and I even sent it back to be tested and it tested good.I changed the light ballast and the red lamp light came on after the TV was powered up,same problem.I then changed the power supply board(part#930B921002)when I powered the TV up,the TV shut down and the red lamp light came on in the same fashion as when the TV originally quit working and the TV still will not power up in the manner it normally did.The problem still persists. What can be wrong?
Make sure you reset the lamp timer too.
Since you changed the ballast and the power supply the first thing i would do is recheck the plug connections on bothe boards. the wires on the power supply have a funny routing and sometimes can get cut or pinched. the small connector on the ballast will get loose pin connections and not make contact.if those look ok, leave the back covers off, put the air filter door on. nnow while you are listening over by the ballast, turn on the set, and check for a small arcing sound.if you here one that means the ballast is firing. look to see if you pushed the lamp wires out of the lamp housing.
post back what you find and we can go farther
you don't read the ballast voltage on yhr heavy black wires. you need to check the voltage on the green and brown wires going to the ballast.
if you don't have approx 300vdc there the power supply is either bad or you have a problem in the main chassis. also make sure the small yellow and red wires from the ballast are not cut.

I first want to thank you for taking the time to offer a solution.Iwill have to take the back panel off again to attempt to hear if the ballast is firing. I will check the l lamp wires again.Since I had the chassis out to change the power supply and had to disconnect the lamp ballast,I tried to double and triple check that all connections were seated properly.I will get back with you if I get this tv working.
Thanks again!
I couldn't hear any arcing from the ballast and tried to get a voltage reading with the lamp socket pulled out while powering up but couldn't..............all wired connections are seated tight.Looks like the lamp circuit isn't being turned on still

Mitsubishi DLP TV MODEL 62525 Could someone tell me if the DVI CABLE is shorted what it looks like exactly and if there is a short what you would do to diagnose and then fix this problem? I still am having trouble with the red lamp LED coming on and the tv will still not power up.Could the DVI cable somehow have something to do with this problem.
I am grateful for somemore ideas on what to do with this tv to get iot back up and running.
