Janome Customizer 10000

I have a Janome 350E embroidery machine and bought the Janome Customizer 10000 on line to use with it. Now I find out that I cannot use it with my machine. Can the Janome Customizer 10000 be upgraded to Customizer 10000 plus?

Please help. There is a no refund policy with the Customizer 10000 that I bought.

Thanks,

10000 customizer

Put your card and select touch screen embroidery mood then you can see the designs. Design should be loaded to the card through customizer and CF card size to 1GB or less.

I just purchased a Janome CM350E and need Customizer software

You can use any machine embroidery software brand.

There are many that have free trials and demos. Embird is one brand that is very popular.

You start with Embird Studio and then add other programs as you become more knowledgeable about machine embroidery.

All ME software products run on Windows XP, Vista and some are now compatible with W7.

I have just bought the janome 9700 and can't find the Customizer 1000 anywhere that I can import designs, edit, and transfer them to your ATA card. Is anyone able to help This is my first embroidery...

You may not need the customizer 1000.

If you go to secretsofembroidery you can download a trial of Embird.

Create a folder on the hard drive of your PC and download a couple free designs from the Internet.

They may be zipped files and you will have to open or extract all.

The opened file is what you will work with. Open it with Embird and "save as" using the format for your embroidery machine.

Find the new design with the janome format and send it to the ATA card.

Insert the card into the embroidery machine.

You can find more information at the Janome site - http://janome.com/index.cfm/LearningCenter/Software_Lessons/82_Transferring%20Designs/113_MC10000_or_MC10001_version_3.0/Writing_To_An_ATA_PC_Card_(MC10001,_10000_V3.0)

Looking to purchase a Janome Memory Craft 5700 - refurbished

Yes, you have to have the customizer to download patterns. They are not being made by Janome anymore, so you have to find one on the web. The 9000 also uses memory cards. These are not made anymore either so the same applies- try the internet. And make sure you get the ones that fit the 9000 or the 5700. Best luck -I have the 5700 - a stripped down version of yours. linda

Customiser 2000 will not connect to a laptop as it has a 9 pin serial port (female) and the laptops have a 15 pin (female) I have bought 2 different cables but none work it just says serial port did not...

Are you using a USB-to-serial adapter?

I *think* what the problem might be is that the COM port's not been set in Customizer. Within either of the Easy/Customizer apps, go to ScanCard>Communication Settings ... you'll open up a dialog box within which you can set which COM port your cable's going to use.

If you're compie savvy, you can go to the Windows Start button on Task bar>Control Panel>System>Device Manager>COM ports and SEE which COM port your cable's using.

But until your software knows what COM port your cable's using it will NOT recognize that you have one installed.

Please let me know if this doesn't help! Or if there's anything I can help with!! :)

Downloading embroidary designs for the Janome MC 350E

Firstly, format your compact flash card on your embroidery machine. This is presuming you have embroidery files in your jef format your machine reads on your computer. Place your compact flash in the compact flash card reader writer connected to your computer, open the compact flash card in your computer, open the file emb5. Now you can simply copy and paste a design from your computer to your flash card. It works for me. Goodluck.
