Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately I've just replaced the cartridges and the problem remains.....
I replaced the cartridges but continue to get error message "put in cartridge"
I have the same problem. Out of the blue, the "wrong cartridge" message came on. The ink was 75% full. I uninstalled the cartridges and cleaned the heads, shut off the computer and also the printer and the problems remain. Shot Canon off a notice and they recommended bringing it in for service. Service = same price of a new purchase.
