SOURCE: Silence on voice calls on the nokia 6210 navigator
its a signal problem if your mic and speaker work fine the rest of the time. you can order a replacement internal antenna off line by completing a google search for nokia 6210. find a supplier of your choice. when you make a phone call the towers immediatley know who your calling and where you are. but if your signal strength is extremely poor, the system will complete the connection even though your device is no longer sending or receiving completed packets of data. (data doest stream, its sent in groups called packets) an interuption of these packets at a large enough level will stall any call, resulting in dead air. all you and the person on the other end will get is silence, and a counter showing that the call is connected, when in reality, the connection was never completely made. i suggest that if your device is under warranty to have it replaced or repaired by nokia. you can check the warranty status at this site: http://nokia.us/get-support-and-software/repair-and-recycle/warranty/warranty-verification

Hello Sir,
OK, So according to you the phone just enables Loud Speaker not the Normal Voice Output Jack. But First, I want to tell you that a phone has different output jacks for the Earpeice ( the normal Speaker ) and for the Loud Speaker. If the phone is enabling the Loud Speaker only then its obvious that the Phone's is not being able to initiate the Normal Voice Output Jack. Thus my advice is to take it to a Service Center and get the Earpeice Changed or if possible, repaired.
Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.
