SOURCE: 1996 Toyota Celica GT: car loses power and stalls out.

Check alternator voltage at back of alternator ( big wire ), if you have no less then 13.5 volt's, alternator is ok, check for blown alternator fuse or break at wire from back of alternator to starter then to battery, could be a bad fuse link at starter.

The micro filter system is not picking up the saw dust. Any tips?

you need to clean the duct, check if there is flow, best done outdoors and with pressure air hose...

remove filter unit, put it to pieces and blow air in reverse, this will clean the filter unit.

blow now air in reverse through the hole towards the belt, will raise heaps of dust but will clean the fan as well as the duct.

if cleaning do not help - remove cover and check the fan, it is possible that bigger particle broke wings or that they just wear off, you need then to replace the wings.

hope this will help you - we do that several times a year with our sanders.... do not forget to vote :-)

HOW DO I REPLACE A TIMING BELT ON A 3" X 18" BELT SANDER

On the side of the sander there is a black triangle shaped cover with 3 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and you will see the drive belt and 2 pullies or gears. The belt will be attached to the gears. Remove and replace the belt. Typically the belt is broken so the only thing you will need is to locate a new belt and slip in over the gears with the side with the teeth facing the gears. This keeps the belt from slipping. Reinstall the cover and you are ready to go back to work. The hardest part may be finding a supplier for the belt.

I accidently ran over the cord with my DW430R 5.2 Amp belt sander and it's wedged so tightly between the wheel and sander body and I can't get it out.

If you release the belt that would give you more room to get the cord out. When you releas the belt it brings the rollers together which loosens the belt.

PBS 7 AE belt won't turn and dust won't collecr

I had the same problem. On mine it was because the drive belt had worn out. This is under the black cover on the side. You have to remove three torx screws to remove the cover.

Toothed belt bosch 1274 dvs

If I am correct, when holding the tool in the normal operating position there should be an oblong cover on teh left hand side nea the back of the tool. It should be held on with a screw. remove this cover and you can access the belt . MAKE SURE THE TOOL IS UNPLUGGED. the belt should pull off/push on with a bit of force. Turning the pulleys as you put it on will help it go on evenly. If it is too stiff, put the belt in some boiling water for a minute or two to soften it up a bit.

Motor runs but the drive drum that hold the sanding belt does not turn.

Instead of removing the drum, remove the belt and the cover over the gearbox. The gearbox cover is normaly fixed in place by screws around the drive pulley. There may be a couple of screws under the pulley, if so they can be accessed via holes in the pulley wheel itself. Check for worn or stripped gears. These gears can be replaced if need be, but if this is the case make sure you remove and clean out all the grease first and replace that aswell as it may contain bits of teeth that have come off the faulty gear. As far as I know belt sander drive rollers can not be removed without removing the drive inside the gearbox first.
