SOURCE: my computer said "163 time
Date & Time are kept by RTC (Real Time Clock) CMOS Battery, which is usually a coin-cell battery on the motherboad.
As the RTC of your system is dead, it can not keep time.
Therefore, RTC (CMOS Battery) is required to be replaced with a new one to fix the issue.
Let me know if any further clarification is required. Hope this helps! Dont forget to rate the solution!!

SOURCE: Hp Compaq nc6220 Laptop. there

SOURCE: 163 date and time not set
have you tried to set the date in windows and it does the same thing? if yes the the battery might be dead. If the battery is fine then you might have e mother board issue! If it is the latter then to save money just change the date and time when you enter the computer - you could even write a batch file that will set your time for you - look up NET TIME SET on google.coim
