Commercial espresso machine

The machine keeps shutting itself off. Just a couple months ago, I replaced the pressure stat, heating element for the steam boiler and the coffee boiler. It has been working fine and then this morning we turned the machine on, boilers heated up. we keep the steam wands open while the machine is heating as instructed by a service technician, but as soon as the water and steam start to come through the wands, we hear a popping noise and the machine shuts down.

Sounds like the safety thermostats on the machine is tripping because the machine is overheating or the circuit breaker is tripping because machine needs more amperage.

SOURCE: no heat or steam in starbucks barista

Likely a limit thermostat, you have to find them to see if they are resetable or one shot. Do not bypass them. Usually located on the boiler. Other option is blown element, you need an ohm meter to test both. Inexpensive one is fine.

SOURCE: I have had 2 la marzocco lineas where the steam

For the element to burst, the machine has to be devoid of water, Do you have a reset thermostat on the steam boiler, if no then it would be wist to get one put in to protect the element. Next, check the flow from the filter, is it restricted, if it is find out from which cartridge and replace. Next, the level probe might be set too low, lift the probe another 1/2 to 1 inch. Remove the safety valve, turn the machine to 1(fill) and lift the probe so that the water level is above the element. If the machine does not have off-fill-on(3 position switch) then that could be the brunt of your problems. Next make sure the inlet solenoid is filling the machine, you will know be removing the wire on the probe and the machine will start filling.

Remove the shower screen and make sure it is clear, then remove the screws on the top panel, If after checking screen problem still occurs, find the tube that leads to the head and make sure it is not blocked.

My astra espresso mega 2 s boiler pressure is 0.

It is possible that the safety thermostat on the boiler has tripped. Reset safety thermostat and turn machine on. If reset is not tripped then it could be the element or the pressure stat are damaged.

My nuova Simonelli oscar doesn't heat

This is a good little machine. its basically a commercial machine shrunk down for home and is worth repairing even if you have to take it in. go to nuova simonelli usa website and download the parts manual and check the 009500014 thermal fuse and the 09500004 highlimit thermostat and see if one is gone or tripped. check the pressure stat, check if power to elements and if there is check to make sure the elements havnt failed from being heated with no water. like i said this machine is on par with a rancilio silvia so well worth repairing.

I HAVE A LACIMBALI M53 THAT IS NEW & HAS ONLY

Hi. Could be pressure switch or vaccum valve. To check If the vaccum valve is faulty, try leaving the steam taps open while it is heating up. If it heats up normaly like it supose to than you vaccum valve is stuck. Shouldn't take too long. If it doesn't heat up fast but still heats then that could be element. If it doesn't heat then your pressure switch is faulty. Dazza

Wega Espresso Machine is slow to recover steam pressure

Bad pressurestat or bad heating element. PS feeds power to heating element, heating the machine til its up to pressure, which then turns the pressure stat off. If either of the two pieces are bad neither will work properly.

Could also be the machine is overfilled which causes the machine to take longer to heat up.

The boiler in my Franke ecolino coffee maker is over heating. Anyone have a solution?

you most likely need a new pressure stat/switch as it is what tells the elements to turn off and quit heating.

Boiler pressure (steamer pressure) is at 0. Usually, when it goes down it comes back up in few minutes but not today. Also, the water coming out for our espresso shots is not as hot as it should be and our...

Problem is either the element, the pressure stat or the reset thermostat on the boiler left side if the model is equipped with one, has tripped, possibly because the machine is low on water in the boiler or the contacts for the pressure stat are damaged or dirty. First I would check the water level in the boiler then remove the left side panel and check the reset switch and press it in, then turn on machine to see if it heats up. If you do not have a reset switch on the machine then check the element and pressure stat to make sure they are working properly, do a resistance test.

Steam wands on espresso machine wont work

There should be a boiler pressure and water pressure guage. If there is no pressure on the boiler guage that could mean a heating element or pressure stat problem.
