The only source is the parts support for LG. They can direct you to there parts distributor for your area.

For many of these products, the manufactures will not sell replacement parts to non contracted servicers.

In many cases, if there is a damaged board it is possible that the cause of the failure may be on another board. You can end up buying replacment boards and parts yourself and still not have the problem solved.

Personaly, my preference would be to give the set to an LG authorized service center where they can properly diagnose the problem and properly service the set.

Check within you area for a reliable LG repair center. To fix the problem of the blue, red or green vertical line you just need to replace the control board PN 6871QCH038C. The part cost about $150.00 and a honest repair center should not beat you up to bad on the labor. Good luck and Good viewing.

the actual problem are the solder balls under the chip it can be fixed easily by reworking it, we have done it in a few dozens tv so far with excellent results the usual problems are: red vertical lines , one half of the screen not working, color lines and it usually cost only the time to perform it.

it seems to be a bad connection somewhere but I disconnected the ribbon cable and got a verticle line of snow instead of a blank line. the line is about 34 mm wide and starts 285 mm from the left edge starts on the Blue and goes to the Red pixels. so if they are 1mm wide that would be 34 bands of color.

I would sure like to figure out the solution to this one or I got a TV I need to throw away cause the o'lady is gonna bust my balls if I can't fix this!
