The screen for viewing on my device is really funky. Basically the display is cut down the middle. The top half of the words are displayed on the bottom and the bottom half of the words are displayed in the top half of the screen. Any idea how to fix this? I've deleted all tracks off the device and it didn't fix it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I took out the battery and replaced it after 10 seconds and this didn't solve it either.

Why is my screen opening at half screen?

not sure what half screen you are referring to

click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system

also settings you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size, larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

on the top of the internet page you should see some tabs file edit view favourites tools and help click on the view tab on the drop down list you should see a zoom size %

click a different percentage also a text size you might try a different text size although this will not increase the size of the page only the text fonts inside it

if you do not see these tabs in the top toolbar

right click in the top toolbar you will see a number of toolbars and options select the menu tab this will add at it to the toolbar

or if its actually half of the screen

you will need to connect to another monitor or your television to your computer with the vga lead monitor connection

click start control panel display change display settings adjust resolution this may vary depending on your operating system

you should see a no 1 and a no 2 with detect and identify keep an eye on the screen when you select the number tabs this may vary depending on your operating system

when you select the no 2 tab this should be the extended desktop always click apply after making any changes

or click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to monitors right click select scan for hardware changes

if you can get an extended desktop your monitor is faulty

if you cant get an exended desktop

hope it helps

You have look whether the cable is lose contact.some times this will make problems.but your screen showing like a funky lines, this is due to problem of the LCD screen.you have to make it correct by giving it to the service center.

Display on my Brivis LCD panel is missing half the text.

There could be a problem with the LCD display or the PCB of the control. If it doesn't bother you, I wouldn't have it fixed, but if it does I would. Generally the text/numbers displays the time and the room and set temperatures. It also shows messages about the heater. i.e. "Pre heating heater furnace - Please wait!" This display is not really important.

Flat panel displays half screen, mirrored on bottom half of screen

Have several problems with either a bad LVDS cable from Main unit to the LCD controll bd. Sometimes the cable is just not connected properly. If you reseat this cable and the problem still exists you most likely have a bad LCD control bd.
