It doesn't work, i've gone through the options in skype and enabled video and everything and I can see myself through the webcam while doing that and I hit save. Then when I try to make a call no video and no options to start video?

Click the "Tools" menu and select "Options." Click "Video Settings," check the "Enable Skype Video" and "Start my video automatically when I am in a call" boxes. Select your Logitech QuickCam from the drop-down list. Your webcam should display video in the window. 1) If you do not intend to use the Logitech chat feature I would recommend you uninstall the current logitech software and re-install it - opting out of the Logitech chat feature when the option appears 2) Make sure you have downloaded the DirectX support software.
Check out the support page for your webcam by browsing the gallery and clicking on the picture of your model.

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE Connect webcam Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly. The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted. Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software. If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.
Start Skype. On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'. In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings' Run down the list setting your defaults Select your webcam as the default microphone. Make a free test call Click 'Save' In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings. This will launch your webcam Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings' Check the correct webcam is shown as default Click Save Test your webcam by making a Skype test call. If you are using a Logitech webcam, please follow the steps below:
NB! To begin with please close Skype and make sure that you have unplugged the webcamera before installing the installation software that came with it.
1) Go to the control panel and open Add/Remove programs. Then from there uninstall any Logitech webcam software and Logitech webcam drivers from the list shown.
2) Download the latest drivers for your webcam from http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=roeu,en?prodcrid=405
3) Open the webcam installer package by double clicking it.
Now select: Custom installation (advanced) and click next. You are now given a choice whether you would like to install the software and drivers or just the drivers. Please select the second option (Logitech QuickCam drivers) then uncheck 'Enable VoIP Device Management' and click 'Next'. Accept the agreements and on the next page select 'I do not want to activate this Service' (Logitech destkop Messenger). Click 'Next' and the Logitech drivers should be installed. Restart your system and plug in your webcam. Your webcam should now be correctly installed.
