Archos 5 wifi connecting problems

Hi have an archos 5, when trying to connect to wifi, keep getting "wifi error .(0)" or "wifi error .(21), i know i am in a wifi network area as my laptop and palm pda can connect ok, however the archos seems to keep scanning for networks until it eventually switches off, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hello. My Archos 5 has just recently starting to display the error Wifi error (0) and my other devices attach to the network fine. Is there a recent problem?

207 error code

Download the latest firmware for Archos 605 WiFi to your PC.
Connect your 605 to PC and copy the film across and unplug 605 from PC.

I take it you have tried to update it and this happened.
It has happened to others too, they redownloaded and tried again and it worked.

Archos won't connect by USB to computers

You should keep your eye on the device after its been plugged to the PC it will give you 2 options "charge" or "usb" you ca not establish a connection without picking usb connection option on the Archos screen when it pops up. If you are doing so and problem still existed then i would recommend you to download the latest windows media player. Because it comes with new devices sync driver update.

Archos 5 - Wifi keeps failing

reset the router to factory default ,then set it again ,sometimes routers need this ,you should information in netgear website .
Its pretty simple and try setting up wpa ,its more secure

Send them back to Archos if they are still under warranty. If not, you're out of luck because they'll charge you about US$140 to repair the hard drive + postage.

Dylan, I don't know who your ISP provider is, but I am using BT and had to change to a Belkin modem so that I could connect Archos 605 wifi and Palmone. Had the same problems as you have, which have disappeared on installation of Belkin modem,

i have xp professional it was working 2 days ago i downloaded tons of stuff now i the same computer can'T see it but not just my computer i tried on 3 different computers it sas usb is connected (buttons disabled) but computers doesn'T see it.. but it keeps on chrging itself !
