That particular model is not capable of recognize playlists. The playlist option is only for creating a "Playlist on the Go" from within the player itself.

Go to your settings menu, playback mode, set it to "Repeat" instead of shuffle. You'll be able to play your playlist alphabetically beginning to end, but only by album or artist after that. I think when it gets done with the last song it'll stop? Not sure. Not enough info on the WWW.
if you dont like the artist or music albums name to be appearing in the display(which is sometime annoying)the trick is here.drag and drop your songs and mp3 lists into the player just like basic copy and paste in windows.the name of the album and artists appear in the display only if you synchronize your player with the computer using players(like real,Wmv etc). so go for the basic copy and paste instead of synchronizing option.please let me know your feedback. thanks,
First try opening the gogear device and click on music right after the welcome screen. Select either "All Songs", "Artists" or "Albums" to find your songs. If you downloaded your songs, they should display on the screen of philips gogear, then you can select them to play on your headphones
Only some audio formats (.mp3 .wav and .wma will be play on philips gogear SA 3020/37)
Changing the filename won't change to artist, title, album ext... The easiest way I know of to change this is with MediaMonkey, a free media player. Click the link and install and open Mediamonkey. Find your MP3 player on the left side to browse the music. Highlight the music that you want to change the artist for in your MP3 player, right click>Properties. You can also create playlists with MediaMonkey.
make sure that all of your id3 tags are correct and filled in for each music file before dragging and dropping. initially when i added files to my vtouch, the player recognized them automatically and added them to the standard playlists. every time i add files now, i have to manually add each one to the playlists by touching MUSIC > ADD TO AUDIOLIST > ADD TO AUDIOLIST. Then you should be in the AUDIO folder. Double touch AUDIO to view it's contents (which should now be your 'artist' folders, if you organized it that way). Go into an artist folder and double touch each track to add it to the playlists. You should see a "wait..." message and then "success" for each track you add. BUT they are not added yet, my friend. I KNOW! WHAT A PAIN!!! So when you are done adding tracks, you need to touch the back arrow to get back to the MUSIC menu. Then touch UPDATE AUDIO LIB. This may take a few minutes depending on how many tracks you added. When it's done, you should have all the tracks you added in all of the playlists.
When you turn on the mp3 go to the setting and you can choose how the songs load, Name, artist, size, alphabetically, chose the ones you want on. And turn the other off.
In the music menu, there is an option to search by Artist or Album as long as you have at least one song on the player that has an ID3 tag that lists the song's artist or album. Those are the only way of organizing the songs on this particular player.
Yes - instead of dragging an entire playlist or an entire album onto the GoGear, just go to the Sync tab in Windows Media Player and drag the individual song that you want to transfer. The player also has several play modes - repeat, shuffle, etc. - shuffle will give you a certain degree of randomization.
The album view, I believe, will only show "unknown artists" under the albums folder. You may have to go to the artists section to find the other albums.
