Starting problems w/97 ford taurus

My son has a 97 ford taurus. It has been very cold here and the car wouldn't start, even with all of the things we did to it (heating pad, battery charger, jump from my car, etc.). The car will turn over, but never get to the full starting stage. It has finally warmed up some, but the car still won't start. Any ideas?

Can will not start when hot outside. Turns over. No battery problem

I had a similar problem. my 99 taurus wouldn't start after it was hot until engine cooled down enough. It turned out that it was the fuel pump. It provided enough pressure when the engine was cool but as it heated up, the pressure would decrease. Then the engine was not getting enough fuel to even start.

This is kinda funny please don't judge me I was

This sounds like you may have broken a transmission line or damaged the transmission pan. the oil has leaked out of transmission that is why it will not move,

Do not start car until you have repaired the leak, running the engine will damage the transmission due to low oil in it,

you will need to add 2qts of transmission fluid then jack up the front of the car and look for the leak, if you do not see it then have someone start the car and look, you will be able to see it leak out, i thing it will end up being the pan, good day.

Ford Taurus SHO

It sounds like the same thing that happened to my sons car. He was driving home from school and it just died on him. It acted like it wanted to start but would not. He replaced the ignition module and now it starts. He was gotting power from the coil to the distributor, but not from the distributor. Good luck
