Cmos error Hello all, I have a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor, 3500+, 2.21 GHz, 1.93Gb of RAM. When I switch on the PC it wont load fully, By this I mean It stops on a black and white screen and says "CMOS CHECKSUM ERROR LOAD DEFAULT OR PRESS DELETE TO LOAD SETUP" I usually go into the bios and just fix the date and time then save and load, everything on PC is ok, I also want to know why my PC sometimes just switches off, the power management is not set for this, and I recenly cleaned the fans of dirt. I get no warnings at all it just switches off! p.s I have checked lots of virus progs for viruses but found none. Ta to all.

Ok, a checksum error can refer to a flat cr2032 cmos battery, especially if the time is wrong at every boot.
