Check rotor again and measure to see if you have DC voltage on the brushes while running. If no then suspect capacitor

Yes, there must be a protection device on the unit somewhere. It should be indicated in the owners manual. It may be on the box the outlets are in, or built into the cover of the generation unit.

SOURCE: No electric power generated from my Coleman Powermate Maxa 5000W.

the gensets on coleman generators are definately nothing to brag about but i would start by checking the windings and make sure the brushes have a clean armature to ride on

SOURCE: My coleman powermate generator will start but will not generate.

The voltage regulator controls the output. You will need to check that first.

you need to replace your breaker frist. than check your rotor ohm and than your stator for shorts. you may want to check the cover were the bearing is there is a metal ring that may have came out and hits your brush cover. look for black burnt marks

SOURCE: I have a Coleman Powermate 5500 Generator. It is

This engine was not built with quiet in mind, it was built to be cheap. upgrading the exhaust is your best bet and likely the cheapest. Talk to a small engine shop about the possibility of using a muffler from an ATV.

Super Trap makes a fantastic muffler, if it will fit your application (most do). A link has been provided at the end. When you are looking at the various options, you will notice that a rating in db units. Reducing noise by 3db is half the original noise level.

if you can, go with the SuperTrapp. If still noisy (probably won't be), then add on the resonator as well. Downside to using aftermarket is that you will have an exhaust stack / system that sticks out the side of the generator. Upside is that you will be able to think quietly about how much the exhaust sticks out.

And no, I don't have any connection with Jack's, they are just the first hit that came up. Now that you know that something is available, you can do more research on it.

Coleman Powermate 6750

You will need to check the resisitance of the stator and rotor windings, and also each rotor/ring to ground (IE rotor shaft) All tests to ground should be 0 M ohms, stators vary but typically around 1ohm or so, and rotors approx 20-30ohms

AKIRA GAS GENERATOR START BUT DOES NOT GENERATE ANY POWER

Reset overloads if tripped. If this doesn't help, inspect and replace if needed the brushes in the generator. If that doesn't help. Inspect for
loose/broken wires. Last resort is a qualifies generator repair tech.

The circut board on my 6250 blew apart so i replaced it do i need to polarize it because i still have no voltage

I have seen this often, somtimes the circuit/s that power the board will burn out. Usually happens when using generator for powering large air comperssors or equipment that use capacitors. One circuit powers the board, some generators have a second winding for measuring voltage for regulator function. Service center will give you required ohm reading for both windings. For estimate only reading may be between 6 and 9 ohm. Also check that windings are not open or short to ground. Check polarity of brushes, you cannot swap wires to brushes. Circuit board should have come with instruction sheet for wiring. Good luck and post again if you have more questions.

No AC out put

After working on several of this style coleman generator,i have found that the lead wires in the windings that are soldered to where your brushes would contact tend to break.I don't know if it's a poor design or just a fluke,i would check to see if your getting continuity on the rotor and go from there. They seem to either "burn off" or just break.
