I cannot connect......

my phone samsung gt-s5233w cannot connect through wifi connection..everytime i try to connect the device, "dns failed" is always displayed

You need to disable 3G and VPN. To do so, go to Settings> General> Network. Make sure the "Enable 3G" option is turned off. Next, tap VPN at the bottom of the screen and make sure to turn it off too.
If the 3G and VPN are turned "ON", your iPhone will try to connect to the internet everytime it catches signal, normally this happens coz of Mail app and others that require internet connection.

my gosh! u have the same situation as mine..my phone is sew705 as well..just this morning i went to smart wireless center to personally have my internet settings activated..because like you did, i called the customer service and they just kept on telling me to wait w/in 24 hours to receive a confirmation settings..but..nothing happened..so at the smart center, yes, i did had my phone settings activated.. kaya lang, kahit na activated na ang 3g/gprs/mms settings ng phone ko.. wala pa ring nagyari!!! everytime i try to connect to the internet, "connection failed" pa rin!! coz there, i found out that their lists of handset aren't updated.. wala pa silang phone settings for sew705.. kaya ang ginamit na settings ay yung sa sew700i..but still, i'm hoping na sana after few days.. eh, ok na yung connection..

so i guess, better go to smart wireless center na rin for immediate results.. and see for yourself.. baka naman maging ok ang sa phone mo... :-)

You will need to get the internet connection settings from your service provider. Contact your mobile service provider and download the settings. Also some service providers require you to activate some kind of internet packs before browsing. Check if this is the case with your SP too.

1. Open Menu > Settings > Connectivity tab. > Internet Settings > Internet profiles > New profile.
2. Press Add.
3. Open Name and type Loopwap.
4. Open Connect using > New Account > GPRS data.
5. Fill your parameters as shown below:
Name: Loopwap APN: mizone User id: Mobile No. Password: mmsc 6. Press Save.
7. Highlight Loopwap and press Select and press Save.
8. Highlight Loopwap and press More, then open Settings.
9. Fill your parameters as shown below: Connect using: Loopwap Use proxy: Yes Proxy address: 010.000.000.010 Port number: 9401 Username: None Password: None 10. Press Save.
11. Highlight Loopwap and press More, then open Advanced > Change homepage.
12. Select Name and type Loopwap, press OK.
13. Select Address and type http://atcafe.loopmobile.in , press OK.
14. Press Save.
15. Return to Internet profiles.
16. Highlight loopwap and press Select.
17. To start WAP session return to Menu and open Internet services.
18. Press More > Go to and select Loopwap.
19. To finish WAP session press More > Exit WAP.

Contact your internet service provider or your network provider and ask for internet settings.
