SOURCE: How can I run the audio from lg 50pg20 through old receiver?
I have a 50PG2 and it has (& also in the manual) an AV port out for an external second monitor or TV. (2 x audio and 1 x video) . I feed the Audio from this port to my receiver for general audio whn not wanting the full theatre running. Can also use this port to feed audio to standard definition DVR for recording (downgraded) HD programs off air.

Make sure the xbox display settings are not defulted to 480. Have you tried using the component hookup instead? Theres really not that big a difference in quality between the two if your settings are correct in the xbox display menu.

This model was known for issues with the Y-sustain, Y-drives, and the Z-sustain boards. These boards help process the picture image to the screen.
When one or more of these boards fail, the screen stays black, and you only have audio & on/off.
You could call LG and try to get your TV repaired at a discount if you can convince LG to honor this known issue.
Another issue could be the actual panel has gone bad. The plasma panel in your TV has a two warranty and LG would fix that for free. Well…it would be free as long as it’s not past two years of your date of purchase.

This indicates a problem with the panel itself. The line will not go away. When a television is in warranty and this happens the unit is usually replaced. This is normally not reparable because it is too expensive to do so. Check with the manufacturer to see if they have a prorated purchase program to compensate you for this.
