I cant figure it out how to program my remote for my 40" polaroid hdtv to a direct tv reciever box

  • Anonymous Feb 09, 2009

i have a 42 inch polaroid tv. the tv comes with a universal remote, but it has no book for programing this remote. but you can concieveably program it to operate your dvd, and cable set top box. polaroid's website is useless for finding this information. does anyone have the codes for programing the remote?

You are most likely out of luck using these as universal remotes. You are better off purchasing a Logitech remote and programing it for the Polaroid and your Directv box.

We have a 22" Polaroid flat screen combo TV model #TDAC-02212 and the remote IERC03 does not work. Can I get another remote - the TV works with the built-in controls.

Dear Colleen,

Yes You Can, Try Typing "TDAC-02212 Remote" In The Amazon Search Engine. About $40 To $45 Bucks. It Should Come With A Manual On How To Program It To Your TV.

My remote control for my polaroid tv wont change channels up and down.the channel button isnt working for the tv.everything else is working.

You may be able to program your cable box remote to control your TV in addition to your cable box. When they initially set up your cable box they probably left a pamphlet giving you instructions on how to program your remote. I'm not sure why you can't change the TV channels manually but this may give you a work-around.

My remote control for my polaroid tv wont change channels up and down.

The first thing to try is to change out the batteries on the remote. If that doesn't work you could buy a universal remote and program it to work with your TV. If you have a cable box you can probably program that remote to work with your TV.

Can't program the channels

Here is where I found the remote code (1256) for the TBX-2000AF and it has many more codes for Polaroid models. Good luck (copy and paste this link) http://polaroid.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/polaroid.cfg/php/enduser/popup_adp.php?p_sid=fPLB5Gzi&p_lva=&p_li=&p_faqid=2854&p_created=1116267791&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX3NvcnRfYnk9JnBfZ3JpZHNvcnQ9JnBfcm93X2NudD0xOTk0JnBfcHJvZHM9JnBfY2F0cz0mcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**
