The door drops with its full weight when opened. If not careful, almost broke the hinge when it came down. There is nothing that is slowing its opening.
You will need to replace the "door balance kit" on the unit. Here is the kit you need to order.

Try and flip the breaker to off again and push lightly then on , when a breaker trips somtimes just flipping it on it wont catch a latch inside the breaker to actually flip it on.

Hello Mom !
I never expected to see you on here, I thought you'd call, ha ha !
Anyway...by what you've described I'd suspect you have a weak/worn door latch & strike assembly. Also you can make sure it is closing properly when you push it closed, if it doesn't "click" it will push open from the force of the items inside tumbling against it.
You'll either want to call in a local servicer or replace it yourself with part # 279570. It is a relatively inexpensive part at around $15, but I do have to replace a lot of them.
I should add that is just the most common part number, to be sure please provide your complete model number when you call to order the part, look it up on-line, or post it here and I can confirm that is the correct part number.
Thanks for visitng "fixya" and good luck.
Please take a moment and rate this info accordingly or let me know if you require further assistance.
