Olivetti PR2E Passbook Printer

Hi,

My client has Olivetti PR2E passbook printer that connected to WInXP using serial cable.
The printer can handle either IBM PP II or Olivetti PR2E protocol.
Currently by default it has been set using IBM PP II protocol.
According to my client, they don't have to install any printer driver in WinXP. Its like raw printer.
My client using VB App that talk to Oracle server.
The VB app then will talk to the printer using IBM PP II protocol.
My question now:
-whether any of you ever use that IBM PP II protocol
-what app that I can use that using IBM PP II protocol

I have olivetti pr2 passbook printer. when i switch on, both ready & station2 LED blinking. May I know what is the reason

Hello,
i have the same Problem. Which Driver should i need? the IBM ist noch working... and the PR2 Plus does not work, too.

get a usb2.0 lan print server and plug the usb 2.0 into printer and the blue ethernet cable into the print server.
here are a few examples

why..
it will save you headaches
if the sharing p.c is off you have no way to print.
if you add a usb print server
you can print any time from any computer

if you want to share the printer on the other computer they must have matching work group names in the computer ID's.
then when adding printer select networked printer

Is this connecting via wifi or usb?
USB should just work with anything using Windows Vista and upwards... Have you got the correct printer drivers installed?

Hi, My case regarding print to Olivetti passbook printer PR2E currently handled by mrrightt. Can I have more input from other expert that ever handle that printer thanks
Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
