SOURCE: "Step Off Me and Press A" message while not on wii board

When you get this message, lift the board off the ground, press A, and wait until you get to the confirmation screen before placing the board back on the ground. You may have to try a few times to get the timing right. I have no idea why it thinks someone is on the board, but this workaround has solved the problem for us. Good luck.

SOURCE: my wii fit balance board says to step off and press A

You need to load it, stand on the board, step off, and then press A. I have a WiiFit and that happens. It expects you to be standing on it.

Unplug the AC adapter from power cord then wait 10 min and plug it again.Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console. Then push the red button again, then open the batteries cover on your
Wii Remote and push the red button there. After that push the red button on console one more time, then open the batteries cover on your Wii Fit and push red button there. If this not help may your wii fit need service.

SOURCE: my wii fit board keeps telling me to

Looked around for a solution for a long time for this one.

1) removing the batteries from the Wii Fit balance board for at least a minute.

2) Turn the Wii OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds plug the cord back into the outlet.

2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This should clear all the old syncs on the Wii.

3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:

a With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.

b Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will turn on.

c Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console.

d When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, don't forget to sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game (you've deleted the syncs earlier).

Another problem may be the surface on which you post the Wii fit, make sure it's flat, try put it on the floor directly or place it on a rug.

And don't forget to "step on" it when it says and not before as the Wii console might be "overloaded".

How to connect wii fit board to the wii

Important Note!
Do Not use "One-Time Mode" sync.
Syncing can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console. The Wii Balance Board may need to be synced to each compatible game individually. Some games may require you to go into a specific screen to sync the Wii Balance Board. These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.

1. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.
2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
5. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.
6. Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.
7. The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.8. Replace the battery cover and return the board to the normal operating position.

I tried to play balance games on wii fit but when it said turn on the balance board it turned on for 2 seconds and turned right back off how do we fix this and we just put new batteries in it?

your board may well need to be synched to the wii again, try that. if the battery pack still rfuses to work, try some AA batteries first, then resynch it. If it still refuses to work suspect your battery pack has discharged and replace it.

I've tried to play some balance games on the wii fit and the last few times i've tried it it says communications with the wii remote have failed please push "a" to reconnect (HELP PLEASE) i'm getting...

First, I would check the batteries in the Wii Remote. Low batteries will make the Wii Remote signal flicker. After that, I would re-sync the Wii remote by opening the back of the remote and pressing the sync button, after you turn the Wii on, of course.

Have you tried to Re-sync?

1. Start the game from the disc, and wait it to run.
2. Press the sync button on the wii fit balance board.
3. Press the sync button on the wii console.

Some people say that holding the wii console sync button for 7 seconds works best.

Wii fit

are you able to get any of your controllers to connect? if not it could be a issue with your sensor bar. please provide a bit more info

but try this first

Synchronizing the Wii Balance Board with your Wii Console
IMPORTANT: To operate correctly, the Wii Balance Board must be synchronized with the Wii console using Standard Mode Synchronization. Follow the steps below to synchronize the board to the console.
  • This procedure must be followed for each Wii Balance Board compatible Game Disc.
  • These synchronization settings will be saved even if the console is turned off.
  • This procedure can be completed only if a compatible Game Disc is running in the console.
  1. Press the EJECT Button on the front of the Wii console and remove any
game disc if necessary. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible Game Disc.
  2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel on the Wii Menu screen and select START.
  3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.
NOTE: Close the SD Card slot cover when you are finished with the synchronization procedure.
  4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
NOTE: Replace the Battery Cover when you are finished with the aynchronization procedure.
  5. Press the SYNCHRO Button (SYNC.) on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking (for up to about 20 seconds).
Press the SYNCHRO Button (SYNC.) on the console while the Power LED on the board is blinking.
  1. IMPORTANT: Do not press and hold the SYNCHRO Button on the Wii console down for more than 10 seconds. This will delete all of the Standard Mode synchronization information for all Wii Remotes that you use with that console.
  2. The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is
complete. You are now ready to play the Wii Balance Board compatible Game Disc. Please refer to the instruction booklet for the Game Disc you are using for further information on gameplay.
  • Only one Wii Balance Board can be synchronized to a Wii console at a time. Up to a total of 10 Wii Remotes and accessories can be synchronized to a console at any time with the Standard Mode procedure. If additional synchronizations are made, the oldest existing ones will be overwritten.
  • The Wii Balance Board can only be synchronized to one console at a time using the Standard Mode procedure. If you change the console you are using the board with, you will have to repeat the synchronization procedure each time.
  • The Wii Balance Board uses the Player 4 (P4) connection. If a Wii Remote is actively using P4, that remote will be disconnected while the board is being used.
