I have panasonic, viera tc p42st30-42-inch-1080p-3d-plasma. 8 months ago, my 2 year old caused a very small spider crack in the center-lower part of the screen. Tv continued to work until two days ago when the seven red blinking lights started. What gives? Tv repair man thinks it's the cracked glass.

if the tv turn on this will tell you that the plasma panel itself is ok. if it is ok then the fron glass is replacable. this is just a standard piece of glass so i really wouldnt spend tons of money hiring someone else to order one and install it.

it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

are you using a PC to feed a signal or maybe a cable with an adapter?
I had the same issue when I used one of the rear HDMI ports to show a PC display. Apparently there is a software difference between the rear and side/front ports. Inputting the PC through the side HDMI port has solved the problem for me (so far!)
