SHRP AR-235 ERROR CODE F5-02

Sharp copier AR5516 not working. Error code E 7 kindly help.

L1-00 is the detection of the scanner in the home position.
Your scan rails may be dirty needing cleaned, maybe add some lubricant.
The scan home sensor may be intermittent, just not seeing the scanner head in the proper position.
You can try blowing it out with canned air, I am sure he cleaned that.
It is possible you have an intermittent connection between the scanner and processor board or a bad processor board.
If it is an off and on issue I would suspect the home sensor . Most of the time that problem is one where you go in and the issue is very obvious. Every now and then you have one that is difficult to nail down and can be a headache.
If you remove the glass and you dont find the scan assembly is hitting anything or is difficult to slide in certain spots, have him replace the scan home sensor and reseat all the connectors to the MCU board. The MCU is the Main Control Unit. Just a term used to describe the machine processing unit.

F5-02 = Copy Lamp Lighting Abnormality.

Possibilities are blown copy lamp, failure of lamp harness (cable) or the MCU board.
You may need to replace either the copy lamp unit or the MCU board.

To check the operation of the lamp..

Enter service mode 5-03
#, [interrup],C,[interrupt],5,[copy button],03,[start button].
The lamp should light up for a few seconds.

You have to change the Developer in the developing unit. code is: AR271D
This procedure must be done by a copier tech.

Abnormality on the IMC board.
Try resetting by pressing # / interrupt / c / interrupt.
punch 14 and ok / enter.
restart your copier.

if it doesn't work you will need a tech.

Did you clear the code? It's been a while since I worked on one of these but there is a diagnostic mode you need to go into. Something like:

C Interrupt 0 Interrupt

at that point the machine clicks and asks you for a test command number. Enter 14 and press the copy button. That should reset the code. If not try 15.
