No Power Supply for FLM-2601

Power supply board is dead.Replaced the power supply board.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

First of all, check your input source on your TV.
Turn on TV.
Press the Input button on your remote.
Make sure the Source Input matches the corresponding device that is wired on the back of the TV.

First- unplug it, Second- remove the back( can be tricky), Third- follow the AC cord to the power supply board and your there. Look for any Caps that may be bulged and replace them. Sometimes caps can be bad and look ok. Let ame know how you do>

I repaired mine the same way, I replaced the two defective 1000uf 35v capacitors and mine works as good as new. The capacitors are ruined by heat, as they are positioned at the top of the power supply board where all the heat is (a poor design, in my opinion). If you do this make sure that you use high temperature electrolytic capacitors rated at 105 deg. C. minimum. I used caps rated at 125 deg. C. hoping it will last a little longer this time.

The part number is 6LM00220G0 and is priced at $80.54 at circuit city repair. It is easy to install once you remove the cover from the back of the TV and the housing for the power supply.

The Flm2601 is plagued with a poorly designed SMPS and needs to be replaced... The ONLY outlet selling those is Fox International and the PS model number is #MLT166A... I do have the manual for that PS but it won't do much good - it usually buldges several 16v caps when it goes then goes into a domino failure...
Good news is the supplies aren't expensive, I think the last one I bought was around $70.00 dollars and it's a plug and play.
