I don't know how to save to the kingston 4GB USB2.0 data travelter - no instructions with it

  • Anonymous Jan 06, 2012

It's called "basic computer skills", get some!

Seriously! If you can't plug a usb drive into computer and copy something to it, you shouldn't be using a computer!

Hi! happy New year!
To save data to your kingston 4GB USB2.0 data traveller, just insert kingston 4GB USB2.0 data traveller to one of your USB sockets in your computer. After a few moments, your computer should detect the USB inserted. Open the icon my computer on your desktop, there must be a drive there labeled removable disk. Open the removable disk and copy-paste the data you need to save from your computer to yourkingston 4GB USB2.0 data traveller.
Hope this idea helps...

You just plug it into a USB port and your computer will automatically detect it.

Not working USB data travelter 4 GB message error is USB device not recognized plz solved this problem and send me best clarification.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
The error you quoted can be due to multiple reasons. Following are some main Possibilities, that you should keep in mind.

Make sure, the USB port, you are inserting data traveler in, is in working condition. And you are connecting the device properly.
This could happen due to Software conflict, for this you need to remove all the devices connected to USB ports (other than keyboard, and Mouse) and need to restart the system.. Moreover, you can check for the exact error, in the device manager list...
Try checking the data traveler, on some USB port, on which you are sure, that its working properly.
Check for the possibilities, quoted above and do let me know....
Concerned.

How can i unprotect my kingston data traveler 4gb usb flash drive? i cannot save data and when i reformat it it said it is in write protect.

if there is a switch on the side that changes colour from white to red that is the write protect, you may also have reached the capacity of writes to the card and this is also why it is saying write protected as it cant write to it anymore. These flash drives do have a high amount of writes for its life, but if you have been using it as a memory booster for vista or win 7 then those read and writes will soon mount up.
