Sounds like you have a bad fill valve on the cold water side. If your hoses are not clogged, then remove the hose and check the cold water inlet going into the machine for clogs. There is a screen that can trap mineral deposits and/or rust. If you have well water or hard water, they can become clogged easily. Sometimes you can clean them out and they will work just fine. Most of the time, however, you will need to replace the fill valve. Make sure you unplug the machine and turn the water off. The valves are electronically controlled. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Fixing a clogged pump on GE Profile washer

waht u need to do is get a bucket now take the outlet hose and place it into it low to the ground if water comes out then it will be that your pump is faulty and needs replacing but if it doesnt the only way to do it is towels on the floor and with a low pan place this under the sump hose which should be in the middle of your drum which then leads to the pump pull slowly but not enough for the water to push the hose of do this until empty the only other way is to take it outside and pull the outlet hose of this is the quicker and dryiest out of them all but do do the first part to c if the pump is faulty m8

Slip a sheet of newspaper under the bottom of the machine and it will indicate the area. If is does it when the machine is not running. My guess is that it is around the pump because some water always sits there, so either the pump body or the drain hose itself.

I have a miele w526 wash machine .water leaked out under neath machine and 2 lights on side came on .check inlet and check drain .i turned it off removed clothes and tilted it forward and more water was...

In the bottom of your machine the is a tray in the tray the is a float, if the machine leaks the float lifts and hits a switch activating the two light on the facia. The is a leak either in the machine (sump hose) or around the machine drain etc. By tipping the machine you are emptying the tray thus allow it to work. You will need to find the cause of the leak. My best guess is the sump hose has been damaged by hair clip or pin. You may need to remove front panel to check hose etc.

It is leaking under the washer tub

Hi,

Leaking water from a washing machine usually comes from hoses or connections. Be sure that water appearing to be a

leak isn’t drain water from a backed-up standpipe. To prevent potential flood damage, which can occur if washing

machine supply hoses burst, be sure to install “no-burst” stainless-steel mesh hoses and lever-type shutoff valves,

as shown below. With these, you can easily turn off the levers for both hot and cold water between wash days.

1) Check the fittings where the hoses connect to the faucets and to the back of the washing machine. Also look for

worn or leaky hoses. Tighten couplings or hose clamps if needed, or replace the hoses altogether. Be sure to turn

the water off before removing the hoses, and drain them into a bucket after disconnecting them.

2) Determine whether the machine is oversudsing, which can cause the machine to overflow. Reduce suds by pouring 1/2

cup white vinegar in 1 quart water into the washer. Then switch to either less detergent or a low-sudsing variety.

3) The machine may have a faulty basket gasket or tub seal and bearing that must be replaced; in this case, call an

appliance repairperson.

Water leak

Remove the lower panel under the washer door and inspect the interior. The panel is removed by loosening and removing the screws under the bottom front edge. With the screws removed the panel will drop down, then off. Inspect the following areas:

- Check all hoses for leaks, cracks, holes and loose connections. Check the seal where the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub connects to the intake of the drain pump. Make sure the drain hose from the pump to the standpipe is connected snug to the pump and is not leaking.
- Check the drain pump to ensure it is not leaking. The clean out reservoir cap (if not fitted properly) can leak around the seal.
- Check the door bellow (gray rubber boot) to ensure it is not leaking. HINT: A tale-tell sign of bellow leakage is wetness showing up on the front washer counterweight. This is a concrete block mounted to the front of the wash tub. It is not supposed to be wet.
- Check the pressure switch air hose to ensure it is connected to the air dome on the side of the wash tub. This is a small rubber hose that runs from the pressure switch in the top left rear of the washer (viewed from the back, with the washer top panel removed) to the bottom right hand side of the wash tub. However, if this hose were to come off the air dome fitting, the wash tub would continously try to fill and water would begin to pour from the bottom of the wash tub. If this does not sound like your symptoms, disregard this step.
- Check the seam where the wash tub shells meet. There is a rubber tub gasket that seals the two tub halves together. If the seal is bad, water will begin to collect and drip along this seam.
- Check the tub for cracks. This is NOT common, but it can happen.

The following link explains the step-by-step process of checking and cleaning the drain pump:

I mention this link, because it gives you some guidance on how to access the pump and how avoid the possible mess involved with water pouring out of the pump.

If you discover the door bellow as the the cause for your leak, please refer to this link:
