If you are getting your video picture (t.v) through a cable box, satellite dish etc. you will have to adjust the internal settings of that box to match the HD settings of the T.V. as well.
Just on a movie or even watching tv???? If you have the original remote, usually there is a ratio button on it you can push......If theres not, go into the menu and go under video and look for the different ratio (size) of the picture and try one of them......If you still can't figure it out and dont have your manual, you can always "google" your tv and model number and download or at least look at the manual online.....good luck....
This is an HD ready TV and can definitely be used with Sky HD, but ONLY if the Sky box is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. It will not work if connected with a scart cable.
So you need 2 things. Firstly, you need to buy an HDMI cable (see picture) if you haven't already got one. Secondly you need to locate the HDMI sockets on your TV and Sky box. The sockets will have the HDMI logo (see picture) next to them.

Generally, LCD tvs don't do well with "standard" signals, since they're designed for HD.
You may get a slightly better picture by replacing the cable that connects from your TV to cable box, and cable box to wall. However, if you're not watching HD, it's unlikely that you'll notice the better cable making a big difference.
